MGISD competes at Regional UIL

Miller Grove High School UIL students competed in the Regional UIL Academic meet in Keller, Texas last weekend. These students all competed and placed at the District Meet to qualify for the competition.

Candace Earp and Chandra Lee tied for 4th and Natalie White placed 1st at the District meet in Accounting–all three advanced to Regionals as a team.
Natalie placed fourth at the Regional Meet and is an alternate for State.

Natalie also competed in Poetry, placing third at District along with Alexis Serrano who placed second at the District level.

Cassidy Seaney, Aleigh Bessonett, and Cami Froneberger placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in Ready Writing at the District level to compete in Regionals.

Aleigh also placed 1st in Literary Criticism in District.

1st and 2nd place winners at District in Lincoln Douglas Debate were Kayleigh Lester and Grant Sharp.

Kayleigh also competed in Editorial Writing and placed 1st at District and 6th at Regionals.

Trent Wolf advanced to Regionals with a 2nd place finish in Persuasive Speaking at the District level.

Demi Weatherford placed 1st at District in Headline Writing.

Jacob Pelerose competed in Number Sense and Calculator Applications placing 2nd and 1st at District.
