Superintendent reassures staff, students, parents there is no threat to school

Miller Grove, Texas — In a letter on January 23, 2018, Miller Grove Superintendent Steve Johnson assured staff, students and parents that there is no threat to the school and the situation has been taken care of following a threat the previous night. “Last night we were notified of a terroristic threat against the school. Law enforcement was immediately called and deputies contacted the student and are conducting their investigation,” Mr. Johnson said in the letter. “We are doing what we are required to do by law and Board Policy concerning discipline. There seems to be no immediate danger to the students or staff at Miller Grove ISD.” Mr. Johnson added, “We take any threat to the students or staff seriously and deal with it accordingly.”
