I cannot fathom a more wonderful place than Miller Grove, Texas. It is what all good small town fiction and non-fiction embodies – novel characters, places and landmarks that warm the heart, picturesque houses of worship, winsome friends that welcome those of us who are transplants as if we have known each other for a lifetime, and a school that ties everyone together seamlessly. I am more than thankful to be teaching at Miller Grove at the beginning of my fifteenth year in education – my thirteenth year in this amazing community.
I am also thankful to be a wife to my husband and a mother to our twin boys. I enjoy all kinds of music, playing piano and guitar, songwriting, painting, pottery, and cooking. And chocolate.
Sometimes it’s not enough to know what things mean; sometimes you have to know what things don’t mean. – Bob Dylan
