A New Year Comes With New Teachers

 

This new school year brought with it three new high school teachers, two elementary teachers, and two new staff members. I interviewed them to hear more about them and how they like Miller Grove. We are so excited to have them all this year!

The first teacher I interviewed was Mrs.Smith, the Junior High Math Teacher.

Q: What school did you come from?

A: Sulphur Springs Elementary

Q: What college did you attend?

A: Southern Arkansas University

Q: How do you like Miller Grove?

A: LOVE IT!!!!!

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: If you cut me open, I bleed Dr. Pepper, also I have 5 adult kids.

The second teacher I interviewed is Mrs.Smith, The Chemistry, IPC, Biology, Forensic Science, and Physics teacher.

Q: What School did you come from?

A: Bryan High School, Bryan, TX

Q: What college did you attend

A:Texas A&M Commerce, and the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor.

Q:How do you like Miller Grove?

A:I love Miller Grove, the people are friendly, and the staff is wonderful to work with.

Q:What do people need to know about you?

A: I don’t know, I will go the extra mile to help students understand, and that I am here for the students. Also, I am a fifth generation Texan.

The next teacher I interviewed was Coach Hill.

Q: What school did you come from?

A: Sulphur Bluff

Q: What college did you attend?

A: Stephen F. Austin for my Bachelors and  TWU Denton for my Masters.

Q: How do you like Miller Grove?

A: I really have enjoyed it so far, it’s like a small family environment. The funniest person I met so far is Mrs. Fox.

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: I’m easy going, but I’m going to hold my students accountable to everything, and I enjoy a good laugh.

Q: What classes do you teach?

A: I teach Digital Media, Business, and Career Investigation. I also help out with Cross Country, Track, and I coach Girls Basketball and Baseball.

I also interviewed this years new elementary teachers and staff.

The first elementary teacher I interviewed was Mrs. Tiny, she isn’t technically new, but she moved back again this year.

A: Rains Intermediate.

Q: What college did you attend?

A: Texas A&M Commerce and PJC

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: I love Jesus with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Q: What classes do you teach?

A: Reading and Social Studies for Third Grade.

Q: How do you like Miller Grove?

A: I love Miller Grove, thats why I’m back.

The next teacher I interviewed was Mrs. Wright.

Q: What school did you used to teach at?

A: Lee elementary in Caddo Mills.

Q: What college did you attend?

A: University of Dallas

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: I have 4 kids.

Q: How do you like Miller Grove?

A: I love it.

Q: What classes do you teach?

A: Math and Science for Third Grade?

The next person I interviewed is Mrs. Hensley.

Q: What school did you come from?

A: Campbell ISD

Q:What college did you attend?

A: Texas A&M University

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: I love Jesus

Q: How do you like Miller Grove?

A: I love Miller Grove.

Q: What do you do at the school?

A: I’m the Pre K3 Aid and I direct the after school program.

The last person I interviewed was Mrs. Helterbrand.

Q: What job did you come from?

A: I used to work at the Brashear Store.

Q: What do people need to know about you?

A: I love fishing and my family.

Q: How do you like Miller Grove?

A: I love Miller Grove.

Q: What do you do at the school?

A: I’m the elementary custodian.

These are this years new teachers and staff, we should all give them a warm welcome and hope they all have a great year at Miller Grove!
