April 27, 2021 – Miller Grove ISD High School students Clayton Tackel and Parker Dyer were recognized during commissioners court on Monday for their assistance and skill in building a very special utility trailer for the Hopkins County Fire Department. The trailer houses a hydro pump that can be used to pump water from almost any source, be it a pool or pond, lake, creek, water trough, etc. to refill a brush trucks’ tanks quickly so firemen can continue to fight fires out in the county. The trailer also holds extra hoses and toolboxes. The young metal workers are pictured with Hopkins County fire Chief Andy Endsley, Judge Robert Newsome and Hopkins County Commissioners.
