The 6th grade World History Class is studying Asia. While studying Asia, they learned about origami and the story of the 1,000 paper cranes. Traditionally, it was believed that if one folded 1,000 origami cranes, one’s wish would come true. It has also become a symbol of hope and healing during challenging times. As a class they decided to fold 1,000 origami paper cranes and put them up for adoption. Each crane can be adopted for $1.00 and then once the crane is adopted it will be hung in the Elementary library with the adoptee name written on it.
Send your money to the school office and look for your adopted crane! All proceeds will go directly to the Melton Family. Our goal is to raise $1,000. Thank you. If you have any questions please email Rhasten@mgisd.net.
